Violet Coto is a Freelance Marketing/PR Consultant and Entrepreneur. She specializes in organizational communications, development, marketing, and events. She consults for small organizations, startups and nonprofits in the technological, environmental, wildlife, and food industries, serving clients throughout southern and northern California. While actively involved in the community, she manages all events for MIT Enterprise Forum, Central Coast Chapter. When not working on marketing or events, Violet spends her weekends running a small gift shop up in the Santa Barbara mountains, at the local historic Cold Spring Tavern, off the ole’ Stagecoach Road, selling an array of antiques, and handmade crafts made by local artists including her own. She received her bachelor degrees in Comparative Literature and in Spanish Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a master’s degree in Organizational Development and Management with an emphasis in critical thinking, including public relations and marketing from San Francisco State University and then Fielding Graduate University.
