Peter Schlueer is co-founder and President of WorldViz. At the founding stage of WorldViz, Peter Schlueer spearheaded the securing of intellectual property for the company. Today, Peter Schlueer oversees strategic, business development, and marketing areas, helping WorldViz stay on the forefront as a Virtual Reality industry leader. Prior to founding WorldViz, Peter Schlueer was a journalist for leading national German newspapers and magazines. Peter Schlueer currently serves on the Santa Barbara Symphony Association Board of Directors as an executive committee member.

As a co-founder of WorldViz in 2002, Andrew’s vision of virtual reality applications led the company to become a leading turnkey interactive virtual reality solution provider for Fortune 500 industrial customers as well as numerous government agencies. Dr. Beall earned his PhD in cognitive psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and also co-directs the Research Center for Virtual Environments and Behavior at the University of California Santa Barbara’s Department of Psychology. He has received funding from the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, the Office of Naval Research, and the Army Research Office. His research interests include visual psychophysics, collaborative virtual environments, and advanced displays and controls.

Jon is a veteran Los Angeles venture capitalist and a founding Partner in Cypress Venture Capital, a new $50 million southern California early stage venture capital firm launching in 2014 with Partner Andy Rankin and Advisory Partner Brad Jones. He’s directed first-round investments in numerous southern California startups which collectively have created $1.8 billion in value for investors, including first round venture capital investments in LA-area successes Sandpiper Networks (acquired for $630 million in 2000), Shopzilla (acquired for $560M in 2005), and Rent.com (acquired for $430m 2004).Jon’s a Lecturer at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the UC Santa Barbara Technology Management Program, and serves on several academic and community Boards. He was inducted into the Los Angeles Venture Association Hall of Fame in 2012, is a devoted Cal alum, and a proud Michigan and Penn parent.
