Crowdfunding Your Product to Success

Crowdfunding has emerged as an alternative way for entrepreneurs to fund their innovations. Businesses, artists, nonprofits and others raised $2.7 Billion in 2012 through platforms such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo. The market is predicted to more than double in 2013. The success of crowdfunded products such as the Pebble watch ($10M raised from 69,000 backers) have prompted an explosion of campaigns. At this event you will hear from crowdfunding experts who have conducted successful campaigns and learn how entrepreneurs can tap into crowdfunding to achieve their goals. We will also discuss the SEC’s crowdfunding plan that would allow small companies to raise money in the private securities market.
